Win a spot at the special Hadestown: the Musical screening!
WhatsOnStage has teamed up with Trafalgar Releasing for Hadestown: The Musical, to offer theatre fans an exclusive chance to see the upcoming filmed version of the Tony Award-winning musical on the big screen before it hits UK cinemas.
We have 25 pairs of tickets (50 seats total!) to give away for a special preview screening in London on 11 October, ahead of the film’s official release on 13 October 2026.
To give everyone maximum opportunity to bag a seat, WhatsOnStage is launching a unique week-long ticket drop system. Readers can sign up via the competition form on the WhatsOnStage website starting from Friday 18 September at 11:00am (ie now.)
Every day from Monday 21 September through to Friday 25 September at 2:00pm, five lucky winners will be selected at random to win a pair of tickets. Winners will be notified via email and will have 24 hours to confirm their attendance. Any unclaimed tickets will automatically roll over into the following day’s drop, increasing the prize pool as the week progresses.
Entries close on Friday 25 September at 1:59pm, just before the final set of winners is selected. Be sure to submit your details early to be included in all five daily draws!
The genre-defying musical tells two mythic love stories – that of Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone. With music, lyrics and book by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell, the show has direction by Tony Award winner Rachel Chavkin.
In 2025, original Broadway cast members reunited in London for a limited season where the recording took place across three performances. Featuring in the film, titled Hadestown: The Musical, are Reeve Carney as Orpheus, André de Shields as Hermes, Amber Gray as Persephone, WhatsOnStage Award nominee Eva Noblezada as Eurydice, and Patrick Page as Hades, with members of the original West End cast.
