Nominations

Nominations in the 2013 Whatsonstage.com Awards closed on Friday 30 November 2012 at 6.00pm. Shortlists are announced on 7 December, when voting for the eventual winners opens. Voting runs from 7 December to 31 January. Winners are announced at the Whatsonstage.com Awards Ceremony and Concert on Sunday 17 February. All London productions opened between 1 December 2011 and 30 November 2012 are eligible for the main Awards categories. There are a few exceptions to this:

Best Off-West End Production does not apply to West End shows
Best Solo Performance only applies to one-man or one-woman productions
Best Regional Production considers shows beyond the capital
Best Takeover in a Role and Best West End Show are not limited to shows opened this year – long-runners are also eligible for these
Theatre Event of the Year is not production-specific but considers a major event that marks out this theatregoing year (eg Olympics Opening Ceremony)
