What we say about our awards

The Whatsonstage.com Awards, the “theatregoers’ choice”, are the only major theatre awards in which you, the audience, are the judges across all 20+ awards categories

Whatsonstage.com

What they say about our awards

Since Whatsonstage.com started their Awards, the event has gone from an insiders’ get-together to the commercial theatre’s only true popular awards: a real celebration of the most popular theatre productions of the year voted for by the people who actually pay for their own tickets and for shows they really want to see.

What they say about our awards

Every year the Whatsonstage.com Awards grow in importance and meaning, as the public decide which productions have been most enjoyable or made most impact. I predict that, in the not too distant future, these will be the most coveted of all.

What they say about our awards

The most important aspect of this award for me is that it has come from theatregoers - people who love the drama and love entertainment and take the trouble to go out and see it

Patrick Stewart

What they say about our awards

Recently an American friend asked me, ‘Does the audience make a difference?’ I replied, ‘The audience makes ALL the difference.  It is, after all, who we do it for.’ I’m delighted to win this award, particularly as it’s given by theatregoers

Judi Dench

Judi Dench

What they say about our awards

These awards highlight the most important thing we are trying to do, which is to build a lasting and loyal relationship with our audience

Kevin Spacey, artistic director, Old Vic

Kevin Spacey

What they say about our awards

The best awards are always the ones voted for by real people, in this case theatregoers. It’s really special to get an award voted for by them

Ewan McGregor

What they say about our awards

I love that it’s the people who come to see the show that are voting. It’s very encouraging, it’s like extra applause
